-D is finally trying to get around! He was very content to just sit and watch for the longest time. Now he is rolling and doing this side and backward army crawl
-Loves emptying his basket of toys.
-I don't want to jinx it by writing it but just in the last week he is spitting up sooo much less. Most of the time I don't even put a bib on him while he is nursing. Hope this continues!! It's much less wash for me :-)
-D is loving the Ergo. He loves to be worn by his Mama. It's a great way to get him to take a nap while we are out and about. Was a life saver in Disney.
- Took his first vacation this month! Went to Disney World. He was obviously too young for most of what Disney has to offer but he went on Dumbo and It's a Small World. He also loved meeting all of the characters at the character breakfasts.
-He loves clapping his handles. He will even say "YAHHH" when clapping. Or if he hears someone say "YAH", he will start clapping.
-He has the smallest amount of gorgeous blond/strawberry blond hair. It's so silky and soft :-)
-He is still completely obsessed with Carter. Obsessed.
-He loves giving these wide mouthed, but sloppy kisses.
-Still no teeth!
-He sleeps on his side cuddled up with his blanket. Still ends up in Mommy and Daddy's bed once or twice a week.
-Declan's typical day starts at 6:30am. We do diaper change, change clothes then he nurses around 7am. We get to school around 8am. He has fruit for breakfast around 9:00. A 6oz bottle of breastmilk at 10:00 and then falls asleep. He will have lunch whenever he wakes up, around 1pm. Then another 6oz bottle around 3. Dinner at home at 5:30, nurse again at 7 and down for the night!
-At home he is preferring actual solid foods, over purees but at school he is still mostly on purees.
-Favorite solids: Bananas. This kid will eat an entire banana.
-Least favorite solids: any type of meat.
-D is wearing 12 month clothing and may even be moving to 12-18 soon.
- 9 month stats: Weight - 18lb 7oz, Length - 28.5", Head- 18"

Declan - 6 months old

I am glad I just stumbled upon Carter's 6 month post! Glad it reminded me to do one for Declan. I loved going back and reading what Carter was doing at this age. I cannot believe how quickly he went from 6 months old to 3.5! I'll have to remember to do a 3.5 year old post for Carter - so I don't forget all the crazy things he says!

Declan is 6 months & 2 days old.

-Can roll from stomach to back but not very consistantly

-Has many many nicknames. They include D, D-ster, little mister, little dude and our favorite is Decky. Carter almost exclusively calls him Decky.
-LOVES to stand and jump! This kid goes crazy in the jumperoo.
-Is still spitting up. A LOT! We've been to the pedi, CHOP and the chiropractor. Nothing has helped. At least he smiles while doing it!
-We hold D A LOT! He spits up pretty much evey time we lay him down so he is in our arms quite often. We don't mind :-) The doctors even say they can tell we hold him a lot b/c you have a perfectly shaped head! No flat spot from the crib :-)
-We just switched D from an infant car seat to a convertible carseat. He did not like the angle of the infant seat and would puke almost every time we put him in it.
-Very good at holding toys. He will put something down and pick it back up. Will also switch toys between hands.
-Is BALD! He is starting to grow some light hair but still can't see it unless you are up real close.
-Has the longest fingers! We constantly get comments about how he must be either a basketball player or piano player when he grows up.
-Sits up by himself when he wants to. Most of the time he would rather try and stand!
-He knows his name and will turn in your direction when you call his name or speak to him.
-He loves giving raspberries
-He LOVES his big brother Carter. They "talk" all the time and crack each other up in the car.
-He likes to grab onto anything and everything.
-He loves biting faces, necks and anything he can get into his mouth.
-He loves looking at pictures of himself.
-He loves the TV.
-He sleeps unswaddled on his belly
-Our bedtime routine is bath with mommy, diaper, massage, PJs, feed with mommy then lights out! Most nights he sleeps from 7pm and 6:30am and gets up 1-2 times at night to eat. Naps can be up to 2 hours at daycare but more like 45 minutes at home.
-He is eating between 5-6 liquid meals a day and eating solids for breakfast or dinner.
-Solids he has eaten - sweet potatoes, pears, avacado, banana and squash
-Favorite solids: pears
-Least favorite solids: sweet potatoes
-He is wearing 6 and 9 month clothing. 6 month clothing is too short but 9 month is too baggy.

I am going to take D's 6 month picture tomorrow so I will be sure to post!
