Merry Christmas!!

Sorry no one received Christmas Cards from the Galbraiths this year....guess we were a bit too busy with Mr. C.....maybe next year.

Well, we have had an exciting week!
On Christmas Eve Carter made his 1st trip to his Mom-Mom's house. He was so happy and did lots of smiles for everyone. He also made his first trip to church....but was not so happy about having to be quiet. Despite our efforts, the little one did not want to stay at church....we were there for about 10 minutes before leaving....we missed the cousins performing their candle dance (haha) but didn't want to interrupt church for everyone! I guess C-man was too excited for Santa to get here!
Carter woke up Christmas morning to looooots of gifts. He is one lucky boy.....his grandparents and aunts and uncles love to spoil him! I couldn't possibly even post picture of all the new toys and outfits....it would just be too many. I'll make sure to take pictures as we plays/wears everything!

It's begining to look a lot like Christmas

6 days until Christmas....and no, I haven't finished all of my shopping! BUT I did manage to sneak away and get my hair cut and colored today....it was about time....about a month over due. I'll post pics soon...nothing too exicting though...just a trim and highlights - thanks to Erin for suggesting her colorist/stylist.

Just wanted to post a few pics of our purdy Christmas tree....Carter loaned his Santa hat so we could use it as our tree topper....since we were too lazy to go buy a real star/angel.

2 Weeks Until Christmas!

Haven't written in a bit...been kind of busy...well, keeping Baby Carter busy. Haven't done much to write about but Carter did attend his first Christmas Party yesterday!

Carter and his buddy, Chase Sitzer, attended a playgroup Christmas Party at Little Sports yesterday...I wish I would have remembered to take pictures b/c the kids were having so much fun...well, more Chase than Carter...Carter was watching everyone else have fun! I am really excited about this group...everyone seems really nice and it will be good to get to know other moms in the area!

Also, we got Carter's 1st Christmas tree. Aunt Kirby came over and helped Richard pick it out last weekend....but yeah, haven't decorated it yet....it's amazing how slowly things get done when you have a 5 week old! I'll be sure to post some pictures once it is done.

ohhh and 1 last thing...something I am VERY excited about...anyone who knows us knows that Richard and I loooove to travel...during our 4.5 years together we have gone just about everywhere. We just planned our 1st trip with Carter. We will be going to Hilton Head, South Carolina next June! So it's just about 6 months away but I will totally be counting down the days. I can't wait to introduce Carter to the ocean :-)

Our Big Bugger

Carter had his 1-month well baby check up and his 1st shots today. He is weighing in at 10lbs 8 oz (50-75%) and 22-3/4" (75-90%). He has gained 2+ pounds since leaving the hospital!

Good job, Carter-man!

1 Month Old!

Today is Carter's 1 month birthday :-) Good excuse for Mommy and Daddy to have some cake.

I can't believe it's been 1 whole month since this little bugger showed up. He is getting quite big....he has a doctor's apt tomorrow so I'll make sure to post his weight then.

3 Weeks.....almost

Tomorrow is Carter's 3 week birthday - wow, I can't believe he has been with us that long! I would have waited to post until tomorrow but wanted to tell everyone about his doctor's appointment today.

Carter had a apt to check his weight and he is up to 9lbs 9.3 oz! When he left the hospital he was 8lb 5 oz.....so he has gained over 1lb! Good Job, Carter! I was not surprised though....b/c our son loooves to eat!

Also, he has been doing pretty well at the sleeping thing....he normally has at least 1 4 hour stretch during the night....but now that I said that I am sure he'll be up every 2 hours tonight :-P

Happy 2 Week Birthday, Carter!

I can't believe it has been 14 days since Carter man was born!

He is going to celebrate by hanging out with Mommy and Daddy and possibly meeting his Aunt Ashley for the 1st time!

2 Weeks ago

In case some of you don't know....just about 2 weeks ago the Phillies had an amazing parade celebrating their World Series win! There were massive crowds and it ended at a packed CBP. Yes, I was only 3 days shy of being 40 weeks pregnant but there was no way I was missing this parade....there hadn't been one in my lifetime and who knows when the next one will be.

Little did I know that just 3 hours after arriving home....my water would break. Carter gave me the best present and let his Mommy enjoy the Phillies win!!

Here are some of the last pregnant pictures of me....and an updated one from today. No more baby bump. Down 28lbs already. 20 to go.

We'll enough about me. Carter met up with some friends at the mall today - specifically Caleb McNally - Carter can't wait to actually be able to play with him! Here are some cute pics of from today :-)

Tuesday

Nothing too exciting to report today - Carter had his newborn pictures taken in our house by the wonderful Amy Ro Photography http://amyrophotography.blogspot.com/. He was very well behaved...except the whole pooping on the photographer's blanket thing...and we got some really cool shots - A sneak peek will be on her blog in the next few days.

Richard went back to work and Gram came to spend the rest of the day with us. The 3 of us ventured to the food store...this was Carter's first real trip to a public place...he slept through the adventure and I was terrified the whole time - Not sure what I thought was going to happen...but might not going anywhere that crowded again so soon!
